How to import subscribers from a spreadsheet Print

The first row of your spreadsheet must be a header row. A header row is a row containing the name of each column such as Email, First name, Last name.

Failure to include a header row is the most common problem that people encounter when importing a spreadsheet!

Your spreadsheet must have an Email column. Even if your spreadsheet has only one column of email addresses you must still have a header row! This is as simple as adding a new row to the top of your list with the text Email

Optionally you may also include First name and Last name columns. You may also have any other additional columns that you want to import.

Your spreadsheet must be saved as a CSV file! You can do this in Excel from File > Save as

If you are not sure about the format please click the link below to download an example spreadsheet. You will see in the example that the first row of the spreadsheet is a header row designating the name of each column:

Once formatted correctly and saved as a CSV file create a contact list if you havn't already, in BoltMail go to Lists -> Create new

Now click on the list and hit the Import Subscribers button.
